Impressive in stature (standing over 17.2h tall) and unmistakable in grade, Kat is fiercely loyal and a true lady of many talents. An honest, straightforward jumper, she teaches her riders to be thoughtful and precise. A queen in the hunt field, Kat has confidently led all three fields and has also shown sidesaddle, showcasing her refinement and versatility. Elegant, capable, and endlessly classy, Kat leaves a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to ride her.

The undeniable barn favorite, Otto (pronounced Oh-toe) brings forward, safe movement and a hilarious personality that ensures no one is ever bored in the saddle. Fondly nicknamed "Otto-Pilot" for his steady, even tempo, he has been the first hunt mount for nearly all of BCR's riders, confidently carrying countless beginners into the hunt field. Unflappable and genuinely fond of other horses, Otto is the safest companion to ride beside... so steady he's quite literally been the horse that others bounce off of in the field. Dependable, brave, and endlessly entertaining, Otto makes every ride both confidence-building and fun.

BCR's only pony, but don't let his size fool you... Point is a big character and a true athlete. Equally happy teaching beginners, foxhunting, or showing off his impressive jumping ability, he quickly becomes the horse every rider wishes they were just a little shorter to enjoy. Full of confidence and charisma, Point carries himself like the big, impressive horse he knows he is. And of course, his charming polka dots make hime impossible not to love.

The very first horse purchased for the program, Pluto is truly the farm's unicorn (and quite possibly the snuggliest horse to ever walk the earth). A wonderful ambassador for new riders, he has introduced countless students to the program with kindness and patience. Pluto has helped build confidence for many riders in the ring and even more so out in the country, where his steady, gentle nature shines. Sweet, trustworthy, and endless lovable. Pluto holds a very special place in the heart of BCR.

The newest member of the BCR family, Pickle may have big shoes to fill, but he is already proving himself a wonderful addition to the program. A big, handsome horse with a beautiful color, he has already taken to foxhunting successfully with BCR last season and shows all the signs of of a very promising future. Pickle offers our more experienced riders a fun and capable partner to enjoy, and we are excited to watch him continue to grow into his role at BCR.

The literal back that Bay Country Riding was built upon. Now retired from full lesson life, Gent still enjoys the occasional light hack and remains an irreplaceable part of the BCR family. A former race horse turned eventer, Gent deserves endless credit for shaping BCR into what it is today. With patience, heart, and quiet class, he has taught hundreds of students, building confidence, skills, and lifelong riders along the way.
